| Shoot 'Em Up - not a great movie, but it was fun to spot all of the obvious Toronto locations and National Landmarks! This movie was a bit of a disapointment, really. I was expecting a lot more on-the-edge-of-my-seat action, didn't get much. Accuracy of Reviews: Exaggerated/Over-Blown, Acting: Mostly Good, Cast: A & B actors - domestic and foreign (nice), Plot: Wafer-thin, Locations: Good, Production Quality: Low (Surprisingly Low!), Viewing value: Moderate, Likelyhood of Watching Again: maybe on DVD - 7/10. Over-all rating: 3.5/5 stars. |

SEU felt a lot like Crank to me. Totally insane action, which is fun. SEU just felt more forced than Crank, especially when characters were telling jokes for no other reason than to look cool.
However, I LOVE Paul Giamatti. The man can do anything. Well, except kung-fu. I heard his chop socky scene was cut out because it chop suckied.
I agree with your evaluation. It did have some great moments, my fave being the shot of the aftermath of the skydiving scene. |
